Fun Warning
The Mummies of the World traveling exhibit has opened at the Franklin Institute. While we will not be covering mummification in science class, it is an interesting exhibit that will only be in Philadelphia through October 23, 2011 and I encourage you to check it out if you have time.

Holy Angels will be holding our annual Summer Social on Sunday afternoon.
Please stop in to meet parish and school staff and enjoy some Rita's Water Ice and/or Ice Cream from the Creamery.

July 20, 2011:
Ms. Tribo is in need of plastic take-out containers for a science experiment the first week of school.
Containers MUST have the number 6 recycling code
Please rinse and dry the containers of any food residue, and either bring them the first week of school or drop them off in the school collection box located in the church lobby.

The 2011-2012 school year count down clock has reached 40 days!
Ms. Tribo's class supply shopping lists have been mailed out and should arrive within 5-8 business days.
If you do not receive one by August 1 please contact Ms. Tribo.

July 3/4, 2011:
The Holy Angels band will be performing in the Hockessin 4th of July parade tomorrow.
Please support them with your hands and voices as they share their musical talents with the community.

PS- Did you know that the first annual celebration of American Independence was held July 4, 1777 in Philadelphia, while the country was still at war with England?

The "Summer 2011" reading lists have been posted on the main school website.
From www.HolyAngels.net select the "Home & School" link. The reading lists are at the bottom of the "Home & School" page in reverse grade order.
